This policy covers the unused.market Discord application (the "App"): the bot used on the unused.market Discord server to verify new members and to run support tickets. It does not cover the unused.market website and API, which have their own Privacy Policy, and it does not cover Discord itself.
01Who is responsible for your data
The controller of the personal data the App processes is Dominik Wójtewicz, a natural person operating unused.market as unregistered activity (działalność nierejestrowana) under Article 5 of the Polish Entrepreneurs' Law, Al. Solidarności 68/121, 00-240 Warszawa, Poland ("we", "us").
Contact: contact@unused.market.
Discord Inc. runs the platform the App works on and is a separate controller of everything you do on Discord. Its policy is at https://discord.com/privacy.
02What the App does
The App does two things and nothing else:
- Verification. When you join the server, or when you start verification yourself, the App checks that you are a person and not an automated account, and then gives you the role that opens the server.
- Tickets. When you open a ticket, the App creates a private channel for you and the support team, and closes it when the matter is done.
The App does not read messages in ordinary channels, does not send direct messages for marketing, and does not follow you to other servers.
03Data the App processes
3.1 Verification
- your Discord user ID, username and display name;
- the server ID and the time you joined;
- public account details Discord provides to every bot, such as the account's creation date and whether it has an avatar, which are used to judge whether an account looks automated;
- the result of the check: passed or failed, when, and how many attempts it took;
- the role the App gave you.
If verification opens a web page, that page also processes your IP address and browser user agent for the duration of the check, to tell people from bots.
If verification asks you to authorise the App with Discord ("Authorize"), Discord tells us your user ID, username and avatar. We ask only for the identify scope. We do not receive your email address, your password, your friends, your servers or your messages.
3.2 Tickets
- your Discord user ID and username, and those of everyone who writes in the ticket;
- the ticket's details: its number, topic, when it was opened and closed, and by whom;
- the messages and files posted in the ticket channel, including anything you choose to tell us in them;
- a transcript of the ticket, saved when it is closed.
Do not post passwords, API keys, card numbers, identity documents or other people's personal data in a ticket. If we need to confirm that you own an unused.market account, we will tell you how; we will never ask for your password.
3.3 What the App does not collect
- It does not read or store messages outside ticket channels.
- It does not record voice, and does not collect your email, phone number or location.
- It does not track your activity or presence, and builds no profile of you.
- It uses no advertising or analytics services, and your data is not sold, rented or used to train AI models.
04Why we use it, and on what legal basis
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis under the GDPR |
|---|---|---|
| Keeping automated accounts and raids out of the server | Verification data | Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) in protecting the community and its members |
| Giving verified members access | User ID, role | Legitimate interests in running the server |
| Answering your ticket | Ticket data | Steps taken at your request and performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)), or legitimate interests in answering enquiries |
| Keeping a record of what was said in support | Transcripts | Legitimate interests in handling follow-ups, complaints and disputes |
| Dealing with abuse and legal claims | Whatever is relevant | Legitimate interests; legal obligation |
Verification is automated: if the check fails, the App does not give you the member role. That decision has no legal effect on you and can always be reviewed by a person: write to a moderator or to contact@unused.market.
You are not obliged to give any of this data, but without verification you cannot use the server, and without a ticket we cannot help you through Discord. You can always write to contact@unused.market instead.
05Who receives your data
- Discord. Everything the App does happens through Discord, and ticket channels and their messages are stored by Discord.
- The unused.market support and moderation team, who can read tickets and see verification results.
- MatHost.eu, which hosts the App and its database on servers in Warsaw, Poland (https://mathost.eu/documents/privacy-policy/).
- Authorities, where a law or binding order requires it.
We share data with no one else. Other server members cannot see your ticket or your verification record.
06International transfers
The App's own data is stored in the European Union. Discord processes data in the United States and elsewhere under its own safeguards, described in its policy.
07How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Verification record | While you are a member of the server, and 30 days after you leave or are removed |
| Failed verification attempts | 30 days |
| IP address and user agent from a web check | 30 days |
| Open ticket channels | Until the ticket is closed |
| Ticket transcripts and ticket details | 12 months after the ticket is closed |
| Records of bans and abuse | For as long as the ban lasts, and 12 months after |
Messages stored by Discord follow Discord's own retention rules. Deleting a ticket channel removes it from the server; the transcript is kept for the period above.
08Security
The App's database is reachable only by the App and its operator. The bot token and the application secret are stored outside the code. Ticket channels are visible only to you and the support team. No system is perfectly secure, and nothing here is a warranty of security.
09Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy of data you provided. To use any of these, write to contact@unused.market and give your Discord user ID so that we can find your records. We answer within one month.
You can also:
- remove the App's authorisation at any time in Discord under User Settings, Authorized Apps;
- leave the server, after which your verification record is deleted on the schedule in section 7;
- ask for a ticket transcript to be deleted before 12 months have passed, unless we need it for a dispute or the law requires us to keep it.
Messages you posted remain under your control in Discord for as long as the channel exists.
If you believe we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to a supervisory authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa.
10Children
Discord requires users to be at least 13, or older where local law says so. The unused.market service itself is for adults. The App is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
11Changes
We will post changes here with a new effective date and announce material changes on the server.
